The News Junkie

Will: Will is a self-proclaimed news junkie. He spends the first hour of every morning looking up his favorite news sites and learning what’s happening locally, nationally, and internationally. Last week he was given a new client at work, which is great for his career, but it means extra work that takes away most of his early morning news time. He loves his job, and he relishes the chance to work on such a major account, but since he only has time to read the news from two or three or his favorite news sites every day, he feels like he’s missing out on the world around him. Or at least he did until he discovered News or Views. Will created a free News or Views account, and within minutes he had filled his page with .RSS feeds from his favorite news sources, like Reuters, The New York Times, CNN, The Associated Press, and more. Not only does his page present the top news stories from all of his favorite news sites in one central location, but they update themselves automatically, refreshing with new top news stories every time he views the page. Now, instead of spending an hour scanning seven or eight different sites for his daily news, he spends twenty minutes reading all the top news from one central location; his very own News or Views site. He organized his .RSS feed columns and gave the page a splash of color to match his personality, and now he has his very own customized page full of all the news he needs! And he doesn’t even have to log into News or Views to see his stories…he just visits his page with the click of a button, and all of the news he used to spend so much time searching for comes straight to him!

Will likes the fact that other people can see his News or Views page too, because he’s sure there are others out there who are just as interested in current events as he is and who don’t have as much time as they’d like to search the news out. He’s also made a few friends through News or Views…using the program’s networking system, he found other news junkies like him, and now when he has a few spare minutes, he checks their sites too, in case they present anything he’s missed! Now Will can read more news in less time!
